Remembering the Thylacine : Musuesm Collections
Remembering the Thylacine: Museum Collections is an ongoing fine art documentary photography project documenting thylacine specimens preserved in museum collections.
Beginning with collections at Museums Victoria and the Tiegs Zoology Museum, the project brings these specimens into focus through photography, reflecting on the thylacine’s place in Australian history and the role of museums in preserving its remains for future generations.
The project will continue throughout 2027, with further photography and research into thylacine specimens held in museum collections.
